CABE

These early conversations highlighted the strong alignment between our organisations and laid the foundation for a landmark opportunity for our members.

LEADERSHIP

New Year, Alan Milstein—after over a decade of dedicated leadership—handed the baton of Chairmanship to Andrew McColl, one of RPSA’s founding directors and longest-serving Council members. Andrew’s appointment marked a new chapter, building on strong foundations with a renewed focus on opportunity, visibility, and professional growth for surveyors.

CABE

Following over two years of planning and collaboration, we formally launched the RPSA’s Chartered Status Pathway—offering members a robust, supportive, and credible route to becoming Chartered through CABE. This milestone reflects our commitment to elevating the profession and recognising the expertise and integrity of independent surveyors at the highest level.

CIC Membersip

The RPSA achieved a significant step forward in its industry influence by securing a voting seat on the Construction Industry Council (CIC) — the representative forum for the UK’s professional bodies and organisations across the built environment. As a voting member, we now represent our members at the highest level of cross-industry collaboration, contributing to key discussions on quality, safety, professional standards, sustainability and consumer protection through CIC’s committees and networks.

First Open Independent Surveyor Awards

The RPSA worked with The Negotiator to support the first ever Independent Surveyor awards open to any and all surveyors across the industry, regardless of affiliation. The initiative marked a significant step in widening recognition for residential surveying within a traditionally cross-industry awards platform. Gold awards were presented to Abby Raynor of 840 Property & Surveying Services, recognised for her passion for raising standards, and to Novello Group, commended for their commitment to staff upskilling and innovation through their client portal. The occasion reflected RPSA’s commitment to inclusivity, professionalism and raising standards across the sector.
