Hold a BSc in Building Surveying, the DipHI or DipRSurv qualifications. Some other related qualifications may be acceptable, subject to review.
Are full members of CABE, CIOB or RICS.
Wish to join through the APEL (Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning) route * - Candidates will be asked to demonstrate their competency through submission of 3 Building Survey reports for review, and subsequent consideration by the RPSA Council - a non-refundable charge of £595 plus VAT is payable for this review and assessment process. Technical RPSA membership is open to those who:
Hold a qualification equivalent to NVQ Level 3 (or above) in a directly related discipline.
Have an equivalent membership e.g. TechCABE.
Membership categories:
Student - Free for up to 2 years. The member does not have the right to use the title MRPSA or to display the Association logo on their website or other documentation, but receives many benefits and support.
Full - £180 per year. The member has the right to use the title “MRPSA” and to display the Association logo on their website and documentation including survey reports. Full access to the RPSA Essentials suite of benefits.
Technical - £180 per year. The member has the right to use the title “RPSATech” and to display the Association logo on their website and documentation including survey reports. Full access to the RPSA Technical Essentials suite of benefits (due late 2022).
