Right To Rent changes come in today
The Right to Rent process has changed, with all digital checks now required to be completed through a registered Digital Verification Service Provider. Checks carried out by non-registered providers will no longer provide a statutory defence against civil penalties, and the article notes that landlords or agents may face fines of up to £20,000 per occupier for non-compliance.
