Surveyor Live 26

I am pleased to announce Surveyor Live 26, a new, industry-neutral community event created by surveyors, for surveyors, and hosted by the Residential Property Surveyors Association (RPSA) in partnership with Howden Insurance and Skyline Surveyors.

We have built this event on a simple principle: the profession is stronger when we work together, and the best conversations happen when the whole sector is in the room.

Date: Thursday, 14th May 2026

National Self Build & Renovation Centre (NSBRC), Swindon

With regulation, legislation, AI, and market expectations evolving quickly, this day is designed to be practical, open, and genuinely useful, with short “power” presentations, live demonstrations, interactive discussion, and open Q&A, rather than long, slide-heavy talks.

To keep it inclusive, tickets are just £35 + VAT, including entry to the event and NSBRC, free parking, breakfast (for early arrivals), refreshments, lunch, and 6 hours CPD.

Please don’t delay buying tickets, as Surveyor Live 26 is launching across various accreditations and partner organisations, and we expect high demand.

Although the ticket price is deliberately low, this will not be a low-value event. We will be sharing further announcements shortly about additional groups and organisations attending, along with more details on the day’s content.

Surveyor Live 26 is about bringing the profession together in one place. You will be able to speak directly with the main accreditations and organisations, chat with insurance experts, explore specialist tools and services, learn more about practical AI, and gain meaningful CPD you can use straight away.

In many ways, it is the NATO of surveying and the wider built environment: collaboration, shared standards, and stronger outcomes for everyone.

Our industry faces significant change and opportunity, so it's important that we can discuss our futures in an open, safe and inclusive space.

A community event for all professionals in the built-environment sector.

Surveyors Live 26 is not yet another “death by PowerPoint” day of being endlessly talked at. Instead, it will include short, informal “power” presentations, demos and open forum discussions.

This is your opportunity to visit one of the UK's most iconic building-related venues and talk directly to industry regulators, standards setters, insurers, and suppliers. All those who shape, support and guide our industry in an open, safe and inclusive space.

I look forward to meeting everyone who can attend in person.

Warm regards

Andrew McColl

Chairman, RPSA.

Additional thoughts

Before I sign off, a quick word on location. I completely understand that Swindon will not be convenient for everyone, and travelling the length of the UK is never straightforward. What I would say is this: Surveyor Live 26 is our first attempt at building something bigger than any single membership body or accreditation. It is a neutral, community-led day where the profession can meet, talk and learn together under one roof. Achieving that level of cross-sector support, first time out, is genuinely something to feel good about.

If you cannot join us this May, please stay with us. The plan is already to take the next event north, to somewhere more central for the northern region, broadly within that Leeds, Sheffield, Nottingham, Manchester corridor. If you know a venue that could handle 200 plus delegates and a strong exhibitor floor, please do send your suggestions. I can almost guarantee we will be sketching out Surveyor Live 27 before the last coffees are poured at this one.

One step at a time. First, we need to show the industry that Surveyor Live 26 is the way forward.
