Like many, Amanda Ducas came to surveying as a second career—following a successful career as an executive in the newspaper industry. She retrained through the Sava route and now not only runs her own residential surveying practice, but also supports new entrants to the profession as a qualified Sava assessor.

Amanda dedicates three days a week to the RPSA, where she plays a vital role in developing CPD resources and enhancing benefits for members. Her work includes liaising with professional bodies to improve the Association’s suite of useful documents and co-authoring member communications and newsletters alongside the Chairman.

A key contributor to the RPSA's commitment to quality and member support, Amanda brings thoughtfulness, organisation, and a wealth of real-world insight to her role on the Council.

Outside of surveying, Amanda is an animal lover through and through. She shares her home with a cat, an elderly tortoise, and her beloved flat-coated retriever George—undisputedly the star of the show. Her weekly ritual of mucking out horses at a friend’s farm is both her escape and her joy, reflecting her love of the outdoors and a life well-balanced.
