Curfew and clean-up order for Cornwall waste criminal
The Environment Agency has secured convictions against a Cornwall developer and his company for illegal waste dumping, burning and operating an unauthorised waste site near Newquay. The court imposed a suspended prison sentence, curfew, director disqualification, fines and a requirement to clear the site within 12 months after evidence showed large volumes of mixed waste, including asbestos, had been deposited and buried.
